Where can you foil in China? Where can you surf in China?

Everyone talks about Hainan Island as the place to go surfing, but it's a bit hard to get to as a foreigner.
People have been asking me about where to go surfing in China and where you can go foiling in China... on the mainland.
I found this surf club that does foiling, has some foiling gear including sup and prone boards and plenty of Axis foil gear at Double Moon Bay, about 2 hours drive from Shenzhen.
I was specifically sent to "Waves Surfing" at Double Moon Bay which is right on the beach at the end of a row of surf clubs.

Here I found a young friendly owner and his merry band of surf coaches only too happy that a foiler had turn up from the West.
I had my Cloud IX gear and the minute that I started to set up they were onto me surprised that a white guy had turned up at their club and their break.
I had an introduction by the boys at Seven Larky and so the secret that I had in store for the local team was that I had a foil motor drive assist to help me get onto foil no matter the conditions.
Mind you it was only my first go on the sea and the conditions were that great, but none the less I had a prone foil with the boss and got to see his skills, as featured in this video.
The club itself is pretty cool, though a little run down. This is typical for Chinese and the extra trouble here was the salt air taking to the mild steel whereever it was.
Nonetheless, indoors the space is chilled and has plenty of tables, chairs, bar table that looks to the sea. Not a bad place for an office. I think I will find my own space here regularly in the future.
I am not sure the rates for using the facility, but I am sure they would be reasonable... and better still if you can make your own coffees right?... but don't expect a choice of milk, if milk at all :-)
Anyway, if you have questions or need more information, hit me up.
