If you are going to prone foil surf, wing foil or do other foiling water sports, it's going to make a lot more sense if you go try an efoil. A foil surfboard with a electric motor, battery and hand held trigger, you can have the foiling experience at your own pace. Maybe you will just want to buy one!

Compared to trying to foil surf behind a boat, jumping on the efoil and controlling your progress from prone, to knees, to standing and then your first little "flights", it's dead easy and I have seen everyone try and succeed.

After 30 hours of prone surf foiling and now reliably getting to my feet, it's the foil flight control skills that I learned while efoiling mean I can take a big leap forward.
